About Our Monastery
A Christian Orthodox Monastery
The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ Monastery is an Orthodox Christian women's monastic community located in Kemp, TX, within the Diocese of the South, Orthodox Church in America. The Nativity Of our Lord Jesus Christ Monastery was activated as a monastic community in 2009 by Archbishop Dmitri and Metropolitan Jonah of the OCA. The 12.45 acre property consists of a farm house (hosting the current sister's quarters and St. Nicholas Chapel) and a recently renovated meeting and retreat center.

One Service at a Time
Divine Liturgy is Saturday 9:00 AM. Monastic services are served daily, and service times may fluctuate depending on the day and schedule of the monastery. Visitors are welcome to attend our services, following the guidelines of the monastery.
Retreats
Building People in Christ
The sisters of Nativity Monastery periodically invite all the faithful to participate in spiritual retreats facilitated by some the foremost Orthodox spiritual fathers and mothers. See the Monastery calendar for current and future scheduled retreats

Spreading the Gospel
The Holy Nativity of our Lord Monastery is prayerfully considering an extension of its prayer facilities by building a new Church that will accommodate more pilgrims to the Holy Services. Details on how to support can be found on the Monastery website.
